WHITELEY JUST SHORT OF MAKING THE SHOW AT FOUR-WIDES
The J&A Service Team Falls Short Of Qualifying In The Competitive Pro Mod Class.
CONCORD, NC - After a consistent two year qualifying record, J&A Service Pro Mod driver Steven Whiteley fell short of qualifying by .48 seconds at the past weekend’s Ninth annual NGK Spark Plugs Four- Wide Nationals held at Zmax Dragway.
The 31 competitors entered into the event had to run and elapsed time of 5.845 seconds or quickers to compete in Sunday’s eliminations. The following was each qualifying pass made by Steven Whiteley and the J&A Service Cadillac:
Friday April 27, 2018
Q1: 6.332, 174 mph
Q2: 6.325, 170 MPH
Saturday April 28, 2018
Q3: 6.462, 231 MPH
Q4: 7.788, 124 MPH
The E3 Spark Plugs Pro Mod Series Presented by J&A Service will reconvene in Topeka at the Menards NHRA Heartland Nationals presented by Minties, May 18-20, where Whiteley will continue his pursuit of the series championship.
