WHITELEY’S DEBUT OF THE 2018 ZL1 CAMARO DEEMED A SUCCESS IN TOPEKA.

The J&A Service Team Experiences Results That Exceed Expectations.

TOPEKA, KS. – After debuting a brand new race car 3 days before the national event held at Heartland Motorsports park, Steven Whiteley and his J&A Service pro mod team did not know what to expect heading into the weekend. There were two failed attempts made to test the 2018 ZL1 Camaro, therefore qualifying at the 30th annual Menards Heartland Nationals presented by Minties was going to be unpredictable.

Much to everyone’s surprise the car would run impressive numbers and secure the number two qualifying position after Q4 Saturday afternoon.

First round was scheduled at 9:30am Sunday morning, but due to rain delays competition was held at 8pm that night.

The first inconsistency experienced would come during first round of eliminations where Whiteley would run his slowest pass of the weekend: 7.27, 137 mph

The following was each qualifying pass made by Steven Whiteley and the J&A Service ZL1 Camaro:

Friday May 18, 2018

  • Q1: 5.84, 251 mph

  • Q2: 5.80, 252 MPH

Saturday May 19, 2018

  • Q3: 5.81, 251 MPH

  • Q4: 75.78, 251 MPH**

The E3 Spark Plugs Pro Mod Series Presented by J&A Service will reconvene in Richmond, Virginia at the NHRA Virginia Nationals, June 7-10, where Whiteley will continue his pursuit of the series championship.
